Oh they work great but here is the thing cops know you have them it shows up on the gun
the only ones to use are stealth detectors or radar scramblers
radar you can scram but the new laser they can’t tell if you have a detector but they can’t be beat no electronic defence for those .
Stealth radar detectors or scramblers are banned in many US states but you can buy them mail order or maybe eBay from out side the US

I have tested cobra radar detector and they all are pretty bad.
——————————
For a good radar detector you need to spend AT LEAST $200
The BEL 895 is $200 at Radio Shack and has the performance similar to top detectors. It uses the same circuit board as a BEL RX65, BEL’s best dash mount radar detector. The performance at the June “Speed Measurement Laboratories Annual radar Detector Shoot-Out” Was comparable with the best detectors costing $270-$400
I deal with many detectors and I will tell you BEL makes the best mid-priced detector the BEL 895! Cobra and Whistler have very limited range.

Here are some links to some recent radar detectors test
The BEL 895 is the best bang for your buck detector you can ever buy, Trust Me! Radar detectors are my thing!
