My lighter port is broke somehow, i tried everything i can to checking the wires, and putting a new fuse in, and when i put the fuse in and try and use the lighter piece, the fuse blows. Is there any way the radar detector i have can run on batteries instead of the plug?

Yes,but they cost allot. You can splice your cable and wire it directly to your car.Just don’t cut it too shot, cutting off your fuse conector.(you will have to also connect the same gauge wire to give you more length.

Yes, your Cobra can be “hard wired” to your vehicles electrical system. Go to their website at “www.cobraelec.com”. Click on “Products / Store” then scroll down to “Accessories” You can purchase a kit, it’s $7.00 and the part # is RA-PCSB. (you may have to wait a week or two, they’re currently out of stock).
